5. Harry Callahan (Dirty Harry)

Why He Needs Rebooting: Some might argue that the Dirty Harry franchise is simply too iconic to reboot, given how closely the role is associated with Clint Eastwood, but considering how the series consists of 5 films and yet nobody can quote more than one line of dialogue from it, I think it's safe to say that there's plenty of room for a Harry Callahan reboot. Who Would Play Him: It's a tough one to cast, because it needs to be someone who is neither too young nor too old. Liam Neeson again springs to mind (and who wouldn't love to hear him say "Well, do ya, punk?"), but as long as they steer away from, say, Keanu Reeves, there's a pretty wide berth casting-wise.
