10 Other MCU Prequels We'd Like To See

9. Ant-Man & The Wasp

Marvel Studios

Both Ant-Man and the Wasp are established members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, were integral to the story of Avengers: Endgame, and are confirmed to be returning to the franchise in a third Ant-Man film in the future. However, they are not the first to carry their respective titles.

Back in the 1980s, it was Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet Van Dyne that shrunk down to save the world, years before either even heard the name of Scott Lang. This has been hinted at in both movies previously, but could be explored so much more.

One of the reasons Darren Cross hated Hank so much was that he shut him out, denying that he was in fact the shrunken hero his protege knew him to be. When Janet joined him to dismantle a missile in mid-air in what would be her last mission, neither hero hesitated, so clearly they had been in some dicey situations together in the past.

Both Douglas and Pfeiffer have been subjected to Marvel's de-ageing process before, and looked incredible for it, so could easily join Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg as those who have acted as their younger selves for a full movie.
