10 Outlandish The Dark Knight Rises Rumours That Didn't Come True

3. Ra's Al Ghul Is Alive

Speculation: The earlier image of the apparent Lazarus Pits only helped fuel the fire that Ra's al Ghul was not dead, or at least, had found a way to come back to life. After all, we never saw him actually die, and his deceptive nature, as well as his insistence of his own immortality would invite this sort of trickery. Further intrigue was rustled when Liam Neeson was spotted on set, and then that heart-skipping moment occurs when he emerges out of the shadows in Bruce's prison in The Dark Knight Rises. Fact: But let's face facts; as much as is possible, Christopher Nolan tries to keep his Batman series rooted in some semblance of plausibility, and bringing a character back who we last glimpsed seconds away from a grim fate in a massive train crash is pretty ridiculous. It turns out Ra's al Ghul is in The Dark Knight Rises, but of course, as a vision of Bruce's to deliver a few expository points, and nothing more.
