10 Outrageous Claims Made By Movies (That Were Total Lies)

1. Explosions Will Lightly Propel You Through The Air

It's frequently noted how flagrantly irresponsible movies are in how they depict explosions, and one of the worst offences has to be its impact on the human body. In the vast majority of action movies, a character will be floated through the air gracefully by an explosion, when in fact, the level of force behind a real explosion is far greater, and if flying shrapnel doesn't kill you, there's a good chance that the shock wave will. Given the effects that these waves can have on inanimate objects, it will have no problem tearing your insides to pieces, and even if you get a safe enough distance from the wave, the sound can burst your eardrums and cause all manner of internal damage nevertheless. Granted, if films actually depicted explosions realistically, action movies would have a pretty damn depressing third act, but hey, realism! Which deceptive cinematic porky pie annoys you the most?
