
We all know that movies aren't always an accurate representation of reality, but half-truths and flat-out lies in movies that otherwise seem to exist within our world often prove incredibly distracting to our enjoyment of movie. After all, why break just one rule in a movie that otherwise is a relatable reflection of our existence? 10. Prostitution Is A Safe, Harmless Profession

Though there are of course plenty of gritty films about the perils of becoming a prostitute, Hollywood also tends to often glamourise the job, whereby women get paid handsomely to service the needs of wealthy, good-looking, well-dressed men who couldn't possibly have a disturbing paraphilia that they would want you to act out with them. Films like Pretty Woman seem to almost imply that it could even be a fun job at the best of times, and while the one-in-a-million Richard Gere-type client that comes along might well be, what about all the neckbeards and crazies who you'll have to please in the mean-time? What's more, short of becoming the highest of high-end escorts, the job likely doesn't pay all that well, and you'll need to rack up a fair few jobs a day to earn close to a regular wage.
