10 Outrageously Over-Acted Moments In The Amazing Spider-Man 2
7. The Goblin Transformation
The Green Goblin title is skipping a generation in the Amazing Spider-Man franchise, it would seem, as Chris Cooper's Norman Osborn died from a long term hereditary illness after a brief appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. That illness was passed on to Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn and a sudden deterioration in the youngster saw him seek out this universe's equivalent of the Goblin serum and use it on himself to heal the hereditary condition that had killed his Father. The result wasn't quite what he anticipated it to be, as it turned him in to a hideous, scabby goblin-like creature and the transformation scene was overly dramatic to say the least. DeHaan's body convulsed violently and his screams were so piercing that it's a good job Venom doesn't exist in this universe yet - because they'd have outright killed the symbiotic villain.
