10 Over-Hyped $100 Million Budgeted Movies NOBODY Even Remembers Now

It's been an entire decade since Bryan Singer unleashed his $200 million blockbuster Jack the Giant Slayer upon us - an aggressively mediocre attempt to adapt the titular Brit fairy-tale into a mega-budget fantasy-adventure romp.

Again, Singer's film isn't terrible by any means, but it is such an outrageously beige piece of work that very little here sticks in the memory at all.

From the basic assembly script to Singer's shockingly workmanlike direction, there's very little passion coming off this thing, and so it's little surprise that Jack the Giant Slayer couldn't even recoup its budget, falling a hair shy with a $197 million global gross.

In the ten years since, it's a film that's been forgotten from the filmographies of basically everybody involved with it, most of all Singer, who is of course best known for his contributions to the X-Men franchise - and, uh, the other thing.

Given that Warner Bros. was hyping this up as one of 2013's big smash hit tentpoles, what a fall from grace it quickly had.
