10 Overexposed Actors Who Should Take A Break Before We Get Sick Of Them

3. Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson Taken 2 It's probably considered blasphemous to suggest that Liam Neeson slow down a bit and stop making quite so many movies (and I imagine some people will probably set out to find me using a "certain set of skills" because I've done so), but hear me out: Liam Neeson has kind of stopped being an actor, which I think is shame, given how good a dramatic performer he actually is. It's good that he's working so frequently, but at what cost? His brief roles in movies like Clash of the Titans, where he played Zeus, and in Battleship, where he played Admiral Shane, seem embedded in an irony that stems from the surprise success of Taken - there's something undeniably appealing about our new obsession with "action Neeson," but it's also contributed to watering down his filmography. By the end of 2013, Neeson will have starred in fourteen movies over three years. And how many of those can he look back on and feel proud of? I count two, maybe three. I'd be nice to see him in a meatier part.
