10 Overlooked Positives Of Ghostbusters 2

7. Egon's Expanded Role

Egon gets a considerably expanded part in Ghostbusters II, far beyond the fairly straight science nerd role he had in the original movie.

This time, Egon's given much more dialogue and gets a number of the movie's biggest laughs. His most memorable moments include experimenting upon a married couple who think they're attending counseling, "We had part of a Slinky. But I straightened it", his hilariously unconvincing "Yo!" during the drilling scene, telling Louis (Rick Moranis) his lawyer speech was "short but...pointless", and of course, creating the dancing toaster.

Though Ramis is better known for his work behind the camera, this sequel gave him arguably his best chance to shine as a comic performer.
