5. The Mystery Of Seraph Deepens

By far one of the best new characters introduced in the Matrix sequels is Seraph, a guardian program assigned to protect the Oracle.

It's hinted fairly heavily throughout the sequels that Seraph may possibly have been one of the previous Ones, and perhaps the most telling dialogue comes moments before Agent Smith assimilates him, when he says, "I have beaten you before."

This further confirm's Seraph's One-like power level, and only heightens the aura of intrigue surrounding the character that makes him such a bada** hero.

Though the film tinkers with the series' mythology in ways not all fans agree with, the development of Seraph's back story was superbly done.
