10 Painfully Long Movie Marathons You Have To Do At Least Once

1. The Marvel Cinematic Universe - 2,566 Minutes

The Films: Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

How Long?: 42 hours, 46 minutes.

Why You Have To Try It: And finally, we have by far the most absurdly challenging movie marathon there is. While the 50-hour Bond franchise actually does run a little longer at present, by 2020 the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have effortlessly sailed past it.

The MCU's 20 films to date clock in at well over 40 hours, and clearly can't be marathoned without stacking Five-Hour Energy in your bloodstream to possibly toxic levels. Make sure you book the Monday off work before even attempting this one.

A handful of cinemas worldwide did screen every single MCU film leading up to the release of Avengers: Infinity War, and unsurprisingly, audiences tended to nap through the snoozier offerings (looking at you, Thor: The Dark World).

Unless you're willing to pick up a cocaine habit in the pursuit of conquering the MCU in one sitting, you'll definitely need to take a strategic doze at some point. But given the absurd, hilariously unreasonable nature of the endurance test involved, there's no shame in that.

Have you put yourself through any of these stamina-draining movie marathons? How did it go? Shout it out in the comments!
