10 Party Animal Horror Movies
9. John Dies At The End
One of the most overlooked movies of recent years, director Don Coscarelli's adaptation of David Wong's novel is a witty, endearingly bizarre tale of dimension-hopping, parallel universes and sinister inhuman entities, held together by bromantic double act Chase Williamson as Dave and Rob Mayes as John, two Average Joe high school graduates who inadvertently wind up semi-professional paranormal investigators of a sort.
While it's not necessarily a non-stop party animal romp from start to finish, a party does have a significant role to play in getting the ball rolling. It's at one where John plays a gig with his rock band (playing their timeless classic 'Camel Holocaust'), that our young heroes first come into contact with the 'soy sauce,' a mysterious black liquid that permanently alters their perception of time and space.
This, inevitably brings them into contact with all manner of otherworldly insanity.
Of course, Dave and John wind up just about the only people to come into contact with the sauce and not die straight away (and John... well, there's a clue in the title). Let that be a reminder, kids - just say no.
