10 People Marvel Studios Really P*ssed Off

4. Terrence Howard

Despite the fact that he had a three picture with Marvel Studios, Terrence Howard was unceremoniously fired playing Colonel James Rhodes in Iron Man. This argument all came down to money, and the fact that Marvel wanted to play the actor considerably less for the sequel because they felt that it would be a success with or without his involvement. The amounts demanded by Hollywood stars for movies are often ridiculous, but it's hard not to side with Howard in this instance, especially as he's claimed that Marvel actually offered an eighth of what was in his contract. They must be kicking themselves now though, especially as Howard is the lead star in one of America's most popular TV shows, Empire. Shockingly, it's been reported that frugal Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter was the one who pushed for Howard to be recast (with House of Lies star Don Cheadle) because he didn't think that anyone would notice if the studio replaced one black actor with another.
