7. The Mandarin

The Mandarin was believed to be the main villain in Iron Man 3, only for it to be revealed that the name was simply a guise created by Aldrich Killian - using the bumbling British actor Trevor Slattery to portray it for the cameras - while he undertook his nefarious business without suspicion. This adaptation hugely disappointed comic book fans around the world. It was, of course, later revealed in the Marvel One-Shot All Hail the King that the real Mandarin is still out there (mainly because Marvel copped out), but it would be somewhat redundant using him in another Iron Man movie - or indeed as the main villain in any Marvel Cinematic Universe offering. But it does also seem a shame to not use him at all. With that in mind, if Marvel Studios want to use him on screen at long last, he could be the surprise accomplice of Thanos in the Infinity Wars movies. Given that he wears several powerful items on his hands himself, alongside Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, they would make an eye-catching tag-team and an extremely powerful combination.
