5. The Collector

Benicio del Toro's Collector has made no secret of the fact that he wants the Infinity Stones for his collection. His first appearance in the mid-credits scene for Thor: The Dark World showed him being given the Aether - the Infinity Stone being deemed too dangerous to be kept alongside the Tesseract in Asgard - followed by him saying the line "one down, five to go". It is unknown at this stage if he is working alone or on behalf of Thanos but, regardless, he seems like a very plausible candidate to stand by the Mad Titan's side in the Infinity Gauntlet movies - whether that be as a genuine helper or as someone whose aim it is to acquire the Infinity Stones for himself (the latter seems likely, given the character's name and nature). The Collector has demonstrated no real power yet, so it does seem as though he would be very foolish to be messing with the Mad Titan, but his greed and addiction to collecting rare artefacts could lead to that aspect of his personality getting the better of him.
