10 Perfect Comic Book Castings That Need To Happen (But Probably Won’t)

9. Jodie Comer – Sue Storm

Comic Book Movie Castings
BBC America

Jodie Comer certainly would be a big get for Marvel. The proud scouser has risen through the industry ranks due to her Killing Eve breakout role, and she’s no one trick pony that’s for sure as her acting credits only continue to grow. Comfortable in multiple accents and mediums, Comer is one of Hollywood’s most lucrative and sought-after actors working today.

A recent Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee, it’s only a matter of time until her work is rewarded with an Academy Award, and very possibly the chance to be one of the leading faces of the MCU’s upcoming Fantastic Four film.

A character of Sue Storm’s nature would all but come naturally to someone of Jodie Comer’s aptitude. The beating heart of the famous four, Sue’s dependability brands her a desirable asset to any team. As such, it’s understandable why Comer is many people's number one choice to play the part.

At only 30 years old, she is the ideal age to lead the line of young and upcoming actors within the MCU for years to come.

In conversation with Joshua Horowitz for his ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Comer exhibited the right level of coy by adopting a “never say never” attitude, but that there was no truth to the rumours at hand. Another Andrew Garfield situation? We’ll see…
