10 Perfect Comic Book Castings That Need To Happen (But Probably Won’t)

8. Timothée Chalamet – Harry Osborn

Comic Book Movie Castings
Warner Bros.

Leonardo DiCaprio is to blame for this one. Timothée Chalamet has been public in the past regarding the less than encouraging words of 'wisdom' DiCaprio provided him regarding superhero movies… and it’s a damned shame, as Chalamet would make for a fantastic Harry Osborn.

There’s no doubt that he wouldn’t crush the role in question, but the 27 year old would be wise to take the Academy Award winner’s words on board as the Call Me by Your Name star is headed toward big things indeed.

However, should Chalamet himself change his mind, there are plenty of comic-book counterparts tailor-made for an actor of his ability, and Osborn is no exception. Harry is intelligent yet impulsive as his popularity goes hand in hand with his privilege. His desperation to please his father Norman and MJ accentuates his flaws as their adoration and focused attention toward Peter Parker make him bitter and resentful toward them.

Chalamet could definitely embody said characteristics, and with No Way Home’s final act cannonballing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man toward a new adventure and chapter of his life, Osborn’s introduction is just a stone's throw away from becoming reality.

Although it's unlikely that Chalamet will grace the MCU and superhero sphere as a whole, it would be fun to see the actor integrated into the world his on and off-screen pals Zendaya and the aforementioned Holland reside in.
