10 Perfect Comic Book Castings That Need To Happen (But Probably Won’t)

4. Scott Adkins – Deathstroke

Ninja Shadow Of A Tear Scott Adkins
Milennium Films

Away from the domains of action and martial arts, Scott Adkins’ name might not jump off the page. However, it really should, as the man is supremely skilled and similarly talented at what he does.

It’s not just the action that the John Wick: Chapter 4 star has down to a tee. He’s a fantastic actor with a major role long overdue. With that in mind, there are not many better suited to playing Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, than this man.

Whether he’d be squaring off against Robert Pattinson’s Batman or another iteration, you wouldn’t want to be in Bruce’s boots either way. Slade is an incredibly complex individual, possessing an admirable and strict code of honour, but also a defective moral compass. In terms of hand-to-hand combat, he is the Caped Crusader's greatest rival.

The 46-year-old would bring an idyllic balance of acting and action capability that not many others can provide. Adkins' stumbling block, however, may come in the form of Matt Reeves preferring to integrate villains into his Gotham that audiences haven’t seen before on the big screen like Clayface… onto the next Batman?
