10 Perfect Comic Book Castings That Need To Happen (But Probably Won’t)
5. Bradley Cooper – Harvey Dent/Two-Face
Bradley Cooper and Todd Phillips have enjoyed fruitful friendship on and off the big screen, and around the time of Joker’s early conception and production, Cooper hopped on board as a producer alongside Phillips to steady the ship.
An on-screen reunion with the director who made him a household name with The Hangover sure does sound good, but the prospect of another reunion being on the cards with his A Star is Born co-star Lady Gaga makes it a no-brainer.
But who could he play in Joker: Folie à Deux? Cooper is a powerhouse of a presence granting him access to inhabit most of DC’s rogues’ gallery. However, one name in particular springs to mind and thanks to footage coming to light from the film’s set, Harvey Dent exists in this universe and Cooper couldn’t be better suited to portray him.
From a physical standpoint, the 48-year-old fits Dent’s aesthetic to a dime. The psychological aspect of the character shouldn’t be an issue for Cooper either, as Harvey’s signature charm and courage would only come naturally to him.
Even though his existence is confirmed, it remains to be seen whether his name will be followed with a face for the movie or if his presence is simply set dressing. Unfortunately, it’s more than likely that an actor of Cooper’s notoriety would’ve been spotted on set by now deeming this potential casting too good to be true.
