10 Perfect Comic Book Castings That Need To Happen (But Probably Won’t)
2. Norman Reedus – Ghost Rider
It's not uncommon to think that Norman Reedus would be free from his Walking Dead commitments due to the show ending late last year in its eleventh and final season, right? Wrong, as Reedus is headlining his own Daryl Dixon-focused series set to air later this year.
So, what about after that? Well, it’s a solid maybe. Although certain actors have broken the mould of acting on both The Walking Dead and the big screen, it's quite rare.
OG cast members Jon Bernthal and Steven Yeun have broadcast how grateful they are to have worked on the show but for being killed off also so they could explore other projects. Although Reedus isn't quite in the same boat, it does feel like he’s finally leaving the apocalypse behind for good. The actor is set to appear in Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders and John Wick spinoff Ballerina, meaning there’s plenty of room in his schedule to get the Ghost Rider gig.
The 54-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down, and he has everything at his disposal to don the leather jacket and flaming skull for Kevin Feige and Marvel.
However, he may face stiff competition from one Ryan Gosling. Feige is keen to integrate the two-time Academy Award nominee into the MCU mix and Ghost Rider is the rumoured role at hand. Gosling could be fun... but come on, Reedus is right there!
