10 Perfect Marvel Comics Stories Phase 4 Must Adapt
5. The Client
Christopher Priest's Black Panther series is one of the greatest Marvel comics out there, and one that will, most likely, be getting the nod in the upcoming Black Panther film.
The Dora Milaje (Black Panther's personal bodyguards) have already made an appearance in Civil War, and will be showing up again in Ryan Coogler's film as well. It would be pretty awesome to see more of Priest's work in there, however, with The Client in particular possessing great potential for forming at least some elements in either the upcoming film, or a sequel following in its wake.
The idea of a foreign-backed coup d'etat shaking T'Challa's rule is an interesting one to explore, and indeed, it's already clear that the upcoming film will explore at least some of these elements. Of course, there are plenty of other moments from Priest's run that would make for great cinematic sequences, as well as the work done by Ta-Nehisi Coates' in the most recent Black Panther series. The character has a massive amount of literature to draw from, and judging by the reaction to that two month old teaser, it's clear that everyone has plenty to be excited about.
