10 Perfect Marvel Comics Stories Phase 4 Must Adapt
6. Higher, Further, Faster, More
Captain Marvel is already shaping up to be the most unique Marvel offering yet, and while it's already said to be targeting a Kree-Skrull conflict, it would be nice to see the character spill into the Guardians of the Galaxy's plans too, either in a sequel or a crossover.
Kelly Sue DeConnick's debut run on the character, titled Higher, Further, Faster, More, is everything the title says it is. It just is more, and grander in scale than the previous adventures that had featured the character. It's witty, fun, dramatic and colourful, and a great tale to base any feature film on.
Taking place in the midst of an inter-galactic conflict, Carol Danvers is tasked with delivering a young alien girl to her home, and things don't exactly go according to plan. It's very Guardians-esque in its tone, and - given the success of that series - it makes perfect sense to pursue it in a different medium, particularly with Brie Larson at the helm.
