7. The Church Of Humanity Crucifies A LOT Of Students
The X-Men titles often have a political mission statement about coexistence, battling against bigotry and hatred. Sometimes this is only a subtle subtext, while other times it's as overt as a crucifixion on the front lawn of the school.
There is definitely going to be a LOT of people who wouldn't want to see the imagery of dozens of school-aged children nailed to crosses in front of their school, but there's an argument to be made it needs to be seen in film.
The films only ever played the bigotry the mutants face as the standard "no duh, they're redneck!" level audiences are so familiar with, never reaching the true horrors that extremist ideology can breed, or how it pervades across region and class.
It doesn't stop there, as there have been many hate groups and hate crimes against the mutant race and all of them are ignored, even in the one film that specifically focused on human/mutant relations.
