Spider-man is a Marvel Comics cornerstone. He swung into comics in 1962 after being created by the legendary Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. His massive appeal is that he is the opposite of the jacked, leading man heroes such as Superman and Captain America. Spider-Man is a novice, joke-cracking hero while alter-ego Peter Parker is an awkward, skinny teenager.

Few actors have had the unique opportunity to play Spider-Man in the movies. Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland were very well received as the ‘Web-Slinger’. Although Andrew Garfield put in a solid effort, his Spider-Man films were not very successful. However, he shines in one scene from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012).

Spider-Man confronting a criminal in a parked car is a scene that shows what Garfield could have been given better stories and supporting villains. He brilliantly captures the true spirit of the Spider-Man character in this simple but effective scene.
