7. Fix The Mistakes Of The Past
The DCEU has had a major problem in recent years trying to figure out where its headed next, with development hell littered with countless movies that were announced and then abandoned soon after as poor critical and commercial reactions, rebooting and recasting left the makeup of the franchise looking entirely different from what it was when Green Lantern Corps, Gotham City Sirens and the Cyborg solo movie were all on the docket.
The Flash's impending introduction of the multiverse gives the studio a 'get out of jail free' card, in that the idea of alternate realities and timelines means that many of the previous missteps can either be retconned or wiped from continuity entirely and there's a ready-made explanation there that makes total sense within the context of the DCEU.
Zack Snyder's entire tenure at the helm could be explained away as an alternate timeline, which means that it would still be considered canon but would also free the likes of Wonder Woman 1984, Aquaman 2 and any further appearances by Henry Cavill's Superman from the shackles of trying to fit themselves into the previously-established mythology.
