10 Post-Credits Comic Book Film Scenes That Changed Everything

2. X-Men: Days Of Future Past

Clearly we do not know what will happen in X-Men: Apocalypse, but from the Days of Future Past post-credit scene it is clear that Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen will play an important role in proceedings. When this is correlated with comic knowledge, it is clear that Apocalypse, one of the most powerful villains in the X-Men€™s rogue€™s gallery, will be the new villain. This entry is an anomaly on the list as we do not know what the impact of this scene's full impact, but it is clear that it's bound to make waves; Apocalypse is seen in the sequence creating the pyramids, illustrating his power, while his contemporaries chant his name. This displays his influence and power, and makes it obvious that he will be the primary villain in the new film; introducing the X-Men€™s greatest adversary (aside from Magneto) to the film franchise. This is a fundamental shift in the X-Men universe; until now Magneto has always been the villain. In X-Men 2, First Class and Days of Future Past he made overtures towards working with Charles Xavier, but then undertook his own agenda as soon as an opportunity arose. As Apocalypse will most likely be the first timeline-intact villain capable of truly exterminating the X-Men, a new dynamic will undoubtedly be introduced to the franchise. We just have to wait a few years before we will see how this will pan out.
