10 Post-Credits Comic Book Film Scenes That Changed Everything

3. Thor: The Dark World

The post-credit scene for the sequel to Thor was anticlimactic for those without a deep understanding of the comics; Although the infinity gauntlet was hinted at by the first Thor film (where it appears along with the Tesseract) and by Thanos€™ inclusion in the Avengers, this scene confirmed the existence of the infinity stones as being the Tesseract and the Aether. Again, this scene sets up the next Avengers film, meaning it is of immense importance in the bigger picture of the Marvel universe. Moreover, the post credit scene introduced us to The Collector; this character will probably feature heavily in upcoming Marvel movies as he now has one of the infinity stones that Thanos will need for his infinity gauntlet. This inevitable plot means that this post credit scene will probably have the longest wide-ranging influence in the next wave of Marvel movies, but it is not the biggest game-changer in post-credit history. As this scene was shot by the man who is directing Guardians of the Galaxy (James Gunn), and The Collector has been confirmed as the major villain in this new film, the scene acts as a teaser for the next Marvel film. However, it also links the Guardians of the Galaxy film to the MCU, a feat which may be hard to do within the film itself due to its taking place in space. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbtJZx-ShOE
