10 Post-Credits Comic Book Film Scenes That Changed Everything

1. Iron Man

What would the Marvel Cinematic Universe be without Nick Fury? It would be a shambolic collection of heroes. Samuel L Jackson introduced us to Fury and the Avengers initiative in 2008€™s Iron Man post-credit scene, and since then he has gone on to play the character in almost every MCU film. The Avengers initiative was the first hint at what would culminate in the spectacular Avengers film, but Iron Man gave us the means to understand how and why the initiative was formed. In showing the world who the head of the mysterious SHIELD agency was, it became clear that SHIELD was not just an Easter egg included to give fans a cool little wink-wink nudge-nudge moment, but that it would be a crucial element in future films; this has been proven not only by the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but also by the existence of the Agents of Shield TV series. It is virtually impossible to imagine the MCU without SHIELD, and while the post credit scene did not introduce SHIELD, it made sure that we knew it was not a tiny organisation, and that it would be important. Nick Fury has become an integral part of the MCU, giving SHIELD a domineering yet endearing face to the otherwise faceless machine. This is the one that kick started the MCU and paved the way for The Avengers, making it the ultimate game-changer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nyjwkav3h_0
