10 Post-Credits Comic Book Film Scenes That Changed Everything

10. Iron Man 2

Iron Man 2 was the first MCU film to bring together an Avengers theme; Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, Iron Man and Black Widow all made appearances, and the might of SHIELD was shown through the new energy reactor for Stark€™s chest. Atop this, the post-credit scene featured Agent Coulson arriving in New Mexico where a mysterious and immovable hammer had appeared. This was essentially a teaser for the upcoming Thor movie, but the scene was the audience€™s first introduction to Thor€™s entrance to Earth. Having now seen the Thor film this all makes sense, but when Captain America, The Hulk and Iron Man were the only characters who had been introduced, this was incredible. Iron Man 2 itself is a rather weak film; it was not the worst superhero film by any means, but it was not captivating either. The post-credit scene was a nod towards the widening of the MCU, and this ever-growing entity has shown it is successful, remedying some of the weaker inclusions to the franchise. Thor (and Loki) were integral to the plot of the Avengers, so the introduction of Thor in the post credit scene is startling; Marvel€™s unique decision to introduce major new characters through post-credit scenes is one which must be applauded, as this scene sent audience members home chatting for weeks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i6mGEeKLE4&feature=kp
