10 Post-Credits Scenes That Totally Trolled Audiences

7. Aftermath - The Grey

The Grey Liam Neeson

The Scene: John Ottway (Liam Neeson) can be briefly seen with his head resting on the alpha wolf, and both are breathing heavily.

Why It Trolled Audiences: Basically, there's a whole lot of trolling going on at the end of Joe Carnahan's unexpectedly thoughtful thriller.

Audiences thought they were finally going to get to see Liam Neeson punch a wolf at the end, but as the fight to the death begins, Carnahan cuts to black, leaving viewers to come up with their own ending...or does he? Yes, basically.

Despite the post-credit scene giving audiences a glimmer of hope that Carnahan will actually let us know who won the fight, the scene sheds absolutely no further light on who might've won, other than suggesting that they both probably killed each other and are bleeding out. That, or they're just taking a quiet breather before going back at it. Essentially, it did nothing to expand upon the end of the movie, even though it would've temporarily perked audiences up who were feeling irritated after the ambiguous ending.

Well trolled, Carnahan.
