10 Post-Credits Scenes That Totally Trolled Audiences

6. "It's Still Alive" - Cloverfield

The Scene: Alright, so this scene is strictly still during the credits, but it's so close to the end of them that we'll let it slide. At the end of the credits, we can hear a garbled radio transmission which, when played backwards, is of a man saying, "It's still alive", presumably referring to the monster Cloverfield.

Why It Trolled Audiences: For starters, even just figuring this one out is a riddle in of itself: you'd need to realise the transmission was recorded backwards, though given how anything J.J. Abrams is associated with has a few hidden easter eggs, it didn't take long for the net nerds to cotton onto this little trick.

Still, most audiences will have missed it, and considering it's a pretty huge revelation, to hide it so intently is definitely some top-shelf trolling. Also, it served as a massive tease that they may be something more still to come from the Cloverfield IP... with 10 Cloverfield Lane arriving in 2016, and The Cloverfield Paradox hitting the silver screen in 2018.
