Okay, this one is a huge long shot, but J.J. Abrams would be absolutely perfect to take over Jurassic Park. After all, in a lot of ways, Abrams is the new Spielberg. That was especially clear with his film Super 8. That was essentially Abrams doing a Spielberg impression. An incredibly effective one at that, a sort of a mix of Close Encounters, E.T, and even a little Jurassic Park. It's an overwhelmingly sentimental movie with good child characters, a unique monster, thrilling action and emotional beats that pull at the heartstrings. Abrams obviously isn't afraid of taking on big properties, having directed two Star Trek movies and currently working on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Episode VII is looking to be pretty amazing, and both Star Treks had a sense of wonder and adventure that continued to be evocative of Spielberg greatest work. He's a director who truly understands the magic of cinema, capable of producing great action with Mission Impossible III or sentimentality with Super 8, and the ability to take over a beloved franchise with confidence. It would probably never happen, but, in an ideal world, J.J. Abrams would be absolutely perfect for Jurassic Park 5. Who do you want to see Jurassic Park 5/Jurassic World 2?
