10 Potential Directors For Spider-Man 4

1. Duncan Jones

Until he'd signed up to direct the World of Warcraft feature film, many viewers were hoping and praying for this brilliant writer/director to get his hands on a large property. Moon was, and still is, the talk of the town upon its release and Jones' name was on the top of everyone's lists for incredible up and comers to watch. Now that he's made it, it's going to be an exciting journey to see where his career takes him. Out of anyone on the list, Jones possesses the perfect blend of intellectual and entertaining film-making, which his second feature Source Code aptly displays. And depending on the success of the Warcraft films, we'll have to wait and see where his career takes him but it wouldn't be unlikely that after a stint on a major franchise such as that he'd like to try his hand at a second franchise, especially one with a character as fun and versatile as Spider-Man. Having a director who shows a desire to work in big budget film-making is by no means a sign of selling out. It's worked for James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas. A candidate willing to play ball with studios but also offer up important, challenging options in which new directions a character could be taken makes Jones the prime choice. He's got a lot of both column A and column B and already has a devoted fan base built in because of his prior works. Letting him take a crack at America's most beloved spider could be the best decision we've made since letting that guy who directed that memory loss movie take over the Batman franchise. Thoughts? Concerns? Questions? Who'd we miss? We want to know what you think true believers! Until then, comments below kids!
