10 Potential Directors For Spider-Man 4

9. Gareth Evans

"The" and "Raid" are really the only two words of proof to make the case for Evans. Though some might feel his action sense wouldn't fit into a Spidey flick, that shouldn't be the only deterrent to hoping he comes on board. Simply put, the man knows his way around action movies and his fight scenes makes Batman's hand-to-hand technique look amateurish. Because of the amount of sequels studios are hoping to pump out these days, it's guys like Evans whose unique touch can put an incredibly refreshing spin on what could potentially, at least by 2018, feel like a tired genre. There may come a day when audiences don't crave superheroes like they do now. When and if, that day comes it's going to take some new flair to revamp what's been done to death. Spider-Man has to mature just like any other hero. He becomes more responsible and more skilled and the creative teams behind the films should also reflect that kind of change. Introducing a little martial arts action into an otherwise typical web-slinger tentpole could make audiences view Spidey in a whole new light. Let's face it, by the time we even get to Spider-Man 4 it's safe to assume nothing could hurt the boy's box office returns.
