10 Potential Directors For Spider-Man 4

7. Francis Lawrence

Frankly, the dude's going to need something to do when the Hunger Games saga wraps up. And considering they've signed him to round out the remaining two films, it's pretty clear he's a trustworthy director who knows how to handle adapted stories. Spider-Man is hardly any different. A lot of the blame for any superhero and/or novel adaptation films that don't hold water ends up in the director's lap. Yet they're not always entirely responsible €“ a dud of a script, Green Lantern, and a handsy studio is often the type of influence that sinks these Titanics. I Am Legend was a huge box office success despite it's controversial ending and Constantine found fandom in certain circles. so the argument could be made that he's pretty well versed in how to bring the page to the screen in both novels and comics. And his movies crush at the box office, especially the latest Hunger Games which was the highest grossing film of 2013. That sort of sounds like a win-win for Sony. Spider-Man would also be a great opportunity for him to step up his action game. Although the aforementioned films are "big" pictures, they're not Spider-Man big. Maybe he's itching to get his hands on something next-level worthy.
