10 Potentially Awesome DTV Action Movies Coming In 2014

Nicolas Cage has had a bumpy ride over the last few years with movies like Trespass, Seeking Justice and Stolen only getting simultaneously limited theatrical/VOD releases. Not to say that they werent entertaining, but they weren't anything like the ambitious Nicolas Cage movies of the past, although Cage still could not be boring in a movie even if he tried. But there may be light at the end of the tunnel for the eccentric Academy Award winner; The Frozen Ground was his best movie since Kick-Ass, and it seems like Cage could be on a comeback trail with the praised Joe coming out later this year. First he has Tokarev coming out though, which could seem like a retread of Stolen as Cage once again is looking for his kidnapped daughter according to the plot synopsis (or as the trailer leads us to believe; getting revenge for her murder). The trailer seems to promise us a lot more than just a Stolen retread with Nicolas Cage looking to be in intense mode! He hasnt looked this angry since being burned to death in The Wicker Man, and an intense Cage is always an entertaining Cage! It also doesnt hurt the least bit that Tokarev also stars Danny Im Too Old For This Shit Glover. Tokarev looks to be a nice, simple old school revenge flick with a gritty feel. It might have at least double the budget of the other films on this list, but Im not sure it can avoid going DTV.
