10 Potentially Awesome DTV Action Movies Coming In 2014

10. A Good Man

STEVEN SEAGAL IS€ A GOOD MAN. Steven Seagal is back with another three word title. A new Steven Seagal DTV movie might not exactly be good news to some, but he has actually churned out some decent ones over the last few years. €œA Dangerous Man€, €œMaximum Conviction€, etc. This has mostly to do with his healthy working relationship with director Keoni Waxman who has directed a good portion of his movies since 2009. A healthy working relationship with a director, why is that so special? Well, let€™s just say that Seagal might not be the easiest man to work with, which is evident in his troublesome past with directors and the studio heads of Nu Image (Avi Lerner). This has led to a lot of mind-bogglingly bad movies in the 00€™s featuring obvious stunt doubles, Seagal being dubbed over and incoherent editing. A Good Man is a prequel to 2013€™s Force of Execution. Seagal returns as the crime boss Alexander, but the movie isn€™t about his empire of crime. No, Alexander used to be a soldier in Iraq. €˜The perfect soldier€™ as the plot synopsis puts, but the movie doesn€™t seem to be about his time in Iraq either judging from the synopsis. Seagal has to help a friend get back his sister who was kidnapped. Sounds good enough for me! The premise screams for some bone crushing aikido moves delivered by the Sensei himself. Even if the movie turns out to be boring as some Seagal movies tend to be, well, then it could probably also be watched as a comedy; especially if Seagal starts talking in Ebonics.
