10 Predictions For 2019 Movies That Everybody Got Wrong
10. Peggy Carter Would Appear - Captain Marvel
In the run up to its release, Captain Marvel gained a lot of hype and publicity for several reasons. The tease at the end of Infinity War raised a lot of eyebrows, the titular character is one the strongest to have ever graced the MCU, and it was the first female led movie in the entire cinematic universe.
Since Captain Marvel was set in the 1990s, it led many fans to theorise that none other than Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter might appear. The character, aside from her appearances in both Captain America: The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier, had already featured in a flashback scene in Ant-Man, so why not again in 2019?
Having already been established as a strong, smart, bad ass female character, what better place to bring her back to the MCU than Captain Marvel? The timeline would make sense, as the 90's would find Peggy alive and well, and any reason to bring back Atwell's fan favourite character should be reason enough.
However, despite the heavy presence of SHIELD throughout the movie, the organisation she was instrumental in establishing, Peggy Carter still did not appear in Captain Marvel, proving many fans and their theories wrong.
