10 Predictions For 2019 Movies That Everybody Got Wrong
3. Rey Is A Skywalker - Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker
Of the many themes present throughout the entirity of the Star Wars saga, family is one of the strongest. It seems that a ridiculous amount of characters are found to be related to someone else important to the story. Some of the biggest reveals of the franchise were Luke and Leia being siblings, Vader being Luke's father, and Kylo Ren being the son of Han and Leia.
Ever since she was introduced into the franchise with no apparent ties, the question hung over Rey's head - who is she? Surely she couldn't be a main Star Wars character without at least some connection to someone else?
The Last Jedi's explanation that she truly was no one special fooled just about nobody, and with the title of the Rise of Skywalker for the final installment of the saga, and her connection to Luke and the force, surely this confirmed Rey's true heritage as a Skywalker.
False. Though Rey, of course, turned out to be related to another main character, it was not Luke or Leia, but Emperor Palpatine. While she ultimately chose the name Skywalker for herself, there was absolutely zero blood relation to either of her biggest mentors.
