10 Predictions For Sony's 2021 Mystery Spider-Man Spin-Off Movie

Ever since Sony revealed their plans to essentially build a universe around Spider-Man and that it would kick off with Venom, some fans have been foaming at the mouth over the possibility of seeing Tom Holland's web-slinger squaring off with Tom Hardy's symbiote.

While there was always something of an uncertainty surrounding the possibility of it happening, the events of last summer somehow make it seem all the more likely, simply because it reminded us just how much power Sony has when it comes to Spidey and his friends.

Even Venom director Ruben Fleischer told Fandom that he was convinced it was going to happen at some point, and with rumours running wild that Spidey will be referenced in either Morbius or Venom 2, this could be the gap-bridger we've all been waiting for - setting the stage for one major cinematic showdown for the pair in 2021.

If the two studios don't work out a new deal after Peter's next two MCU appearances, Venom vs. Spider-Man would be one heck of a way for Sony to kick off the latter's new chapter as a Sony-exclusive character.
