10 Predictions For Sony's Universe Of Marvel Characters

These days, Marvel Studios holds the rights not just to the Avengers characters, but also the X-Men and Fantastic Four ones as well. In fact, recent years have seen them also regain the likes of Daredevil, Blade, and Ghost Rider, and that means only Spider-Man remains truly off-limits to them.

That means Sony Pictures has literally hundreds (possibly thousands) of Marvel characters at their disposal, and while not all of them are fit to carry their own movies, there are plenty who have a tonne of potential. Cold Heart, White Rabbit, Cardiac, Prowler, and Ezekiel are all heroes and villains who immediately spring to mind, and it's already been confirmed that certain villains will get solo outings.

Kraven the Hunter has been mentioned, while there's plenty that could be done with the likes of Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, and the Hobgoblin. Not everything is necessarily going to be spider-related, and that means more obscure characters will get the chance to shine. Whether that will result in compelling movies largely depends on the creative teams hired to work on these projects.

Of course, the question remains, why aren't there more Spidey-related movies in the works?
