10 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About Deadpool

1. There's A Good Chance It Will Bomb

No fan of the character wants to admit it, but there's a pretty damn good chance this movie is going to bomb. Let's look at the evidence: it's an R-rated comic book movie and we all know how well they tend to do (just look at Dredd), it's an extremely niche character who deliberately turns off the mainstream/casual crowd, and then there's the aforementioned Ryan Reynolds problem. And of course, nerds tend to torrent movies rather than actually go to see them, but if there's one movie they really need to leave the house for, it's this one. If Deadpool fails, it's pretty much going to ruin R-rated comic book films for everyone, as studios will surely stop listening to fans and just go the PG-13 route. It'll be extra-depressing if Deadpool's appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine is significantly more financially successful than this film, which considering that it made $373 million, frankly seems pretty certain. What are your expectations for Deadpool? Shout them out in the comments!
