9. It's Tim Miller's Feature Film Directorial Debut
The film will be the directorial debut of VFX artist Tim Miller, who created the leaked Deadpool test footage which ultimately stirred up interest in this film actually getting made. Now, Miller has a ton of industry accolades, including an Oscar-nomination for directing a short film and creating opening title sequences for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Thor: The Dark World, but directing a feature film is naturally a much bigger undertaking. What's been shown off in the trailer so far certainly looks spectacular, but it will remain to be seen whether these images can combine to make a convincing whole when the full movie is unleashed upon audiences. He's certainly got an impressive CV, but he's still a newbie as far as big-budget filmmaking goes.
