Any cinematic Spider-Verse attempt must include appearances from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Whether or not they should be major players in the overall saga is debatable, but either way, Sony must give fans an update on their current lives.
While Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man ended its chapter on a note of acceptance and relative contentment, Andrew Garfield was only given a single scene to show his attempt at moving on with his life after the death of Gwen Stacy. What's next for these two characters and how have they emotionally responded to their role as Spider-Man?
We should expect to see a mature Tobey Maguire, potentially enjoying as much of a 'happily ever after' with Mary Jane as possible. In contrast, we should anticipate an Andrew Garfield filled with grief, anger, shame, and a host of other negative emotions...
