10 Questions A Sony Spider-Verse Must Answer
8. What's Going On With Oscorp?
Oscorp has been a key element in the two previous Spider-Man franchises and no one will be shocked to see Oscorp pop up again either in the MCU or within Sony's universe. If it's meant to have a role in the Spider-Verse saga, Sony needs to make that known from the get-go.
Peter Parker is linked to Norman and Harry Osborn by fate. There's too much history, too many great moments, and too great of potential to be wasted by not allowing Oscorp to feature heavily in this cinematic universe. Even if the MCU uses the Osborns in some capacity, Sony still has the advantage.
Anything can happen in the Spider-Verse which means Oscorp's influence on the story can stem from an alternate universe, pre-existing or not. Eddie Brock can uncover the sinister plans of the Oscorp in his own world, just like he did with The Life Foundation. Maybe we'll discover that Oscorp has ties to Jared Letto's Moribus.
Who says the existing Oscorps can't be up to new trouble? The Oscorp of TASM had big plans that were only hinted at. Perhaps they're the reason that all of these worlds are colliding.
