10 Questions You Should Be Asking About Batman Vs Superman

9. Is Jena Malone Playing Robin?

Jena Malone Robin When Jena Malone was spotted on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, many people instantly wondered whether or not the actress had a role in the movie, given that she had worked with Zack Snyder on Sucker Punch. Not long after, it was officially confirmed that Malone did land a part in the currently-shooting blockbuster, which sent the rumor mill into overdrive. Most of these rumors point to the actress playing Carrie Kelley, a female version of Robin. Firstly, the actress posted a picture of herself on Instagram sporting short red hair with the caption 'drastic times call for drastic measures'. Secondly, Carrie Kelley plays a part in the comic book storyline The Dark Knight Returns, which has long been cited as one of the movie's major influences. Thirdly, an extra on the movie is facing a $5m lawsuit from Warner Bros. by breaking a non-disclosure agreement on the project by talking to a reporter, with the extra claiming that a female Robin was indeed a character in the movie. Of course, a leaked set photo of Scoot McNairy had many people believing he had been cast as The Flash, which turned out to be false so the rumors should be taken with more than a pinch of salt. But if Malone isn't playing Carrie Kelley, then who is she playing? It would make sense that an older, more grizzled Batman could have acquired a sidekick over two decades of fighting crime, and the rapid expansion of the DC Cinematic Universe could easily have room for a new interpretation of Robin. The actress is also known for playing feisty, no-nonsense characters, which add further weight to the rumors that she will get her chance to don a costume and fight alongside Ben Affleck's Dark Knight at some point before 2020.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
