Bruce Banner's exclamation in the Avengers movie that he is "always angry" was the moment the audience realised that he had control over the Hulk and had come to terms with, and even embraced, the fact that the Hulk was a part of him. Although he had previously transformed involuntarily in to the Hulk in the same movie (which has been a constant source of questioning from audiences worldwide), that was due to the sudden nature of the trauma he was exposed to during Loki's forces attack of the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier - which he was on board at the time.
