10 (Realistic) Directors Who Should Direct A Star Wars Spin-Off Film
7. Edgar Wright
One only has to watch Spaced to see how big of a geek Edgar Wright is so it would be fair to assume that the man who miraculously managed to adapt Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World to screen would jump at the chance of making a Star Wars film.
Or would he?
Wright infamously departed 2015's Ant-Man due to that most pesky of excuse, 'artistic differences', and as Disney also owns the equally multiplex dominating Marvel franchise it would be fair to assume that Wright and the Disney bigwigs aren't on the best of terms.
Or equally as likely, maybe Wright would be unwilling to attach himself to another blockbuster project that inevitably means that you can't call all of the shots.
However, Wright's love of Star Wars is as strong as Luke is with the Force, so maybe this mammoth-franchise would be the one to motivate Wright to give directing a $100-$200 million movie another chance.
