Ever hear the expression "Too much of a good thing can kill you?" Imagine if studios pulled off the impossible and we got the ultimate Marvel crossover movie with every character you'd ever want to see in the movie. Now the studios would have the problem of trying to make their own follow-ups to literally the biggest superhero movie of all time. It would be like the pressure on Christopher Nolan to follow The Dark Knight with The Dark Knight Rises without The Joker, except multiplied by an infinite amount. Sure, the studios would probably still make good superhero movies, but all of them would seem insignificant by comparison to the Marvel crossover movie. The only choice would be for the studios to make a Marvel crossover sequel. Would the studios be able to pull it off again, especially now that all the anticipation for the mega-movie is gone? As said before, studios are thinking two or three films ahead when it comes to franchises. The fact that there wouldnt be any way to top this alone would scare off studios. Even if the crossover movie made buckets of money it could conceivably hurt the business of any inferior superhero movie that would follow. It's just too big of a gamble, even if it were possible.
