10 Reasons Why An Avengers Movie Crossover With X-Men And Spider-Man Won't Be Happening

2. Disney Has Dozens of Other Characters It Hasn€™t Utilized Yet

Yes, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and the Fantastic Four are some of Marvel€™s most famous characters and Disney executives probably wish they could use them in their Marvel movie universe. But Disney hasn€™t even come close to running out of characters to make movies about yet. Though many are in the works, Marvel Studios has yet to release movies and shows starring popular Marvel characters like Doctor Strange, Black Panther, She-Hulk, Ant-Man, Daredevil, Blade, Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Wasp, Captain Marvel, Howard the Duck, and so on. And while few of them are household names, there are plenty of characters that can be used either in team-up or stand-alone films. When Iron Man can be turned into a multi-billion dollar franchise, practically any Marvel character whose movie rights aren€™t owned by Fox or Sony could be a potential goldmine for Disney. Disney doesn€™t need the movie rights to the handful of characters it doesn€™t own to keep its multi-billion dollar franchises going for decades, so they'd be happy to keep what used to be Marvel's movie A-listers on ice in favour of more rough diamonds.
